Viewing Patient Progress Pattern Data

Note: Your Staff Manager configuration may not include this optional application. To add this application to your configuration, contact your Clinical Consultant or Client Advocate.

Complete the following steps to view patient progress pattern data:

  1. From the Demand menu, select Patient Pattern Management. The Patient Pattern Management page opens.
  2. Click Go to load patient data.
  3. Click the History icon to the left of the patient's name. This opens the Patient Encounter Information window. The Patient Event History tab is active by default.
  4. Click the Patient Progress Pattern tab to view it.

The tab includes the following information.

Patients with two or more location-based patterns may see a series of gray slashes in the library pattern bar, as shown in the following illustration. Demand Manager displays these slashes when the patient's actual LOS has exceeded the previous location's library pattern. The beginning of the second library pattern matches the date/time the patient arrived at the second location.

Patients transferred across facilities receive a new anchor date, and the start of the Library Pattern moves to match the new date. See Understanding Patient Transfers Across Facilities for more information.
